Lecturers often use the question type “Cloze” in Moodle, although this type of quiz is difficult to create. The reason for this is the complicated syntax, which is used to define the gaps. A new button in the question editor solves this problem. To add a gap, click on this button. After that, a dialog window opens, where you can easily define the type of gap and the expected answer with just a few clicks. After saving, RWTHmoodle creates the syntax on its own. You can find the button in the lower right corner of the editor. It is easy to recognize as it uses the same icon as the question type itself in the question list.
